Is it possible to restore all office application
shortcuts (to dsktop and program groups) without
inserting the CD and/or using setup via add/remove
programs?

Unless you can find the deleted shortcuts in the recycle bin, no.

You can create new short-cuts etc, if you know where the evecutables live.

.

Ghengis is correct (would that be executables, Ghengis?).
With a default installation of Office, the executables
normally reside in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
(funny that ...). You are probably better off putting the
shortcuts only on the desktop (saves going through the
Start Menu, which is irritating at the best of times ;).
Just right-click on the executable and go Send To >
Desktop (u can find out which are which by either the
icons or right clicking on the executable and going into
the properties).
Hope that helps a bit better than "You can create new
short-cuts etc, if you know where the evecutables live."
