Restoring/Retrieving a document

I have made an Excel spreadsheet and saved it on a
diskette. When I try to open the document I get a dialog
box saying that Excel cannot read the file.

I was working on it at home through Quatro Pro and I saved
the document before I closed out and I have never been
able to retrieve the document again. I have other files
on the diskette that I am able to open. So it is not the
the diskette.

Is there any way of restoring the document even just to
read so I can at least make a copy of it?

Please HELP! (it is a very important document)
