Restoring XP Suites

M

MsTyler

I bought my laptop (Dell latitude) used with all of the programs already
installed on it. I have accidently removed my Microsoft Office XP suites and
I have no idea how to restore them.

Any suggestions?

Contact your system manufacturer - they are responsible for providing your
pre-paid programs.

You may also try looking at the disks provided with your computer.

If you purchased it used and the seller failed to provide the disks,
origonally supplied by Dell, 'canoe without a paddle', springs to mind.

Are you absolutely sure that you removed the programs rather than just the
shortcuts? I don't think that you would have "accidentally" deleted all the
program files....

Yes, I definitely did remove them. From the add/remove programs I selected
the "Windows Office XP Updates," which I thought were just updates.
Apparently, I removed the actual programs.

However, all of the suites were re-downloaded onto my laptop today by the
company that I purchased it from.

Thanks though!

Well thanks for the clarification. I'm very pleased to report that the
company from which I purchased my laptop had no problem with re-downloading
the suites to my computer; free of charge!

I had all of the suites re-downloaded today by the company in which I bougth
the laptop from. So all is good, thankfully.
