Restrict projects listed in the File, Open dialog in Pro

I am using Pro 2003 with PS 2003 and want to limit the list of projects
visible in the File, Open dialog box in Pro. We have some projects such as
mergers and divestitures that are confidential and we don't want everyone to
see these. Our implementation partner designed a way to exclude these from
PWA views using a filter based on the value in a Enterprise Project Outline
Code. But I can still see these in the File, Open dialog. Could be a show
stopper for us!!!!

Just go to Admin, Modify Category and

Click on "Only the projects indicated below"

Remove all projects in the right hand column.

Next, of the 4 check boxes, just click on:

"Allow users in this category to view all projects they manage."

Remove the other three check marks.

Just to make sure, test it out!

Wacntn,

You can define the new security category and add the required user
groups to that category. Add the required projects to that category.
(Category -> user groups + Projects). This way you can restrict the
projects to appear while open.
