Restrict Users from browsing user information

Hi,

currently all users of a Project Workspace are able to browse existing users
of the entire system, not only of their PWS. I know there is a permission
called Browse User Information. But seems to have odds like preventing the
use of alerts.

Do you have any strategies how to keep the information confident without
removing features?
