Restricting no.of lines

I do a lot of typing in MS word 2000. I create legal
documnts where I need to have only 25 lines per page.

I can do this by pressing "Enter" key and moving to the
next page however I need to do this everytime and it
takes a lot of time for me.

Is there a way I can restrict the number of lines in the
page to only 25 and the next text that I type would
automatically move to next page?

Also, in the text, when I put dashes such as:

Now is the time for all good men --

When I do a return at the end of the line, it coverts the
two dashes to just one dash. I then have to go through
the entire document and put two dashes in. It keeps the
dashes as long as I don't do a return.

ALSO - I put line numbers in by selecting the entire
document, going to File, Page Setup, Selecting "Layout,"
and "Line Numbering." It gives me the numbers in Times
Roman instead of Courier New. How can I fix that?

You control the number of lines on the page by setting margins and line
spacing such that only 25 lines will fit. For double-spaced 12-pt Courier
New, the top and bottom margins would need to be less than 1". If you use
24-pt line spacing instead of double, then you can use 1.25" top and bottom
margins. Note that if you have many short paragraphs, you'll need to disable
Widow/orphan control (Line and Page Breaks tab of Format | Paragraph) to
keep the number uniform.

To stop Word from converting your hyphens to em dashes, deselect the
"Hyphens with dash" option on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools |
AutoCorrect.

To get Courier line numbering, you will need to change the format of the
Line Number character style.
