restricting values in a combo box based on a previous field

I currently have a form with 2 combo boxs, the first is
fine and does as required, but i want to use the value
from the first combo box, not only as a value in a table,
but as a value in a query to limit the values in the
second combo boxs list.

basicly an object is related toa a project code select
project code in combo box 1, based on selection only
objects from that project code are possible values in the
second combo box

i tried something like such, but to no avail, it just
prompts me for the value instead.

[Forms]![Transmittal Drawings]![Project Code]
