Two Outlook issues
No. 1 after opening mail and wanting to click on a tab to take me to
another web page a Microsoft Office Outlook box appears---- the statement
says “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administratorâ€.

Well, I am that administrator and I have no idea what I have done to cause
this box to continue frustrate my every move. Can you please instruct me on
how to make this box go away and return me to the world of Outlook mail I
once knew?

No.2 I have installed Microsoft word 07---- every since when I send mail to
with a file attached they all report back to me that they cannot open the
file-----What am I doing wrong and what can I do to correct it?

Thank you

Office 2007 uses a new file format - .docx, .xlsx, .pptx
Prioir versions of Office cannot read these new file formats natively.
You have two options - either do a "Save As" and choose 97-2003 file format,
or get your recipients to download and install the Office 2007 compatibility
pack.
They can get it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...70-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en

One advantage of using the compatibility pack is that they get all the new
fonts that are included in Office 2007....

1. This is a problem with IE, its not an Outlook error. You need to reset
your internet settings in IE's Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab. (Or
Control panel, Internet options, Advanced tab).
See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/link_restrict.htm for more
information.

2. They either need to install the office 2007 compatibility pack or you
need to save in office 2003 format.

If only a few people are affected, you can save as doc when you send to
those people or tell them to install the Compatibility pack
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466

If a lot of people are affected, set word to always use doc format. Go to
the office icon, word options (lower right). In the options dialog, select
Save tab on the left and choose doc format from the Save files in this
format dialog.
