Results from Search form is requiring password

After submitting a "Start Search" within our website, a dialog box appears
requesting a User name and Password. This should not be PW protected.

I assume this is server based problem. Where do I go to fix this issue (i.e.
Front Server extensions, IIS, ASP).?
