Version: 2008 I am using a trial Microsoft office and I am new at this! I need to know how to either find a template that is compatible with apple OR can u tell me how to make the page bigger so that it prints and looks like a "normal" page does? It seems to be a lot smaller than normal..Thanks!

Sorry, but if you don't yet know how to use Word, getting a template is
not really going to be of much use to you.

You can get templates from Microsoft on their Office web site. While
seen to be part of Word for Windows, they will mostly work with the Mac
version of Word.

Since the objective is to get a resume out; perhaps make that a priority
and instead use a document writing program that you know how to drive?

Are you strictly going by what you see on your Mac's display? That doesn't
necessarily give you a true impression of how the document will fit on
paper. You can change the Zoom on screen to magnify what you see to whatever
percentage you wish. Just keep in mind that '100%' doesn't mean 8.5"x11" or
whatever paper size is being used... Have you actually *printed* anything?

There are numerous templates available, but it would probably be best to
clarify what the actual problem is. Just using a different template is
probably not going to make a difference. Please be more descriptive of the
situation -- specifics & details are important, vague statements... not so
much :) If you're using one of the Resume templates that are included with
Word, indicate by name which it is. All of the Resume templates, however,
are designed to print on standard US Letter (8.5x11) paper.

Hi,

On the View menu choose Print Layout.
On the standard toolbar look for the zoom control and adjust it higher.

So no we havent printed anything yet BUT when we looked at print preview it still looks ALOT smaller than a normal page..like from left to right not the words! The ruler is way smaller than a normal page...So for now we found a template that worked with Mac and used that!
