retaining 2003 preferences with 2007 upgrade replacement

I would like to upgrade my current Microsoft Office 2003 Pro suite to
Microsoft Office 2007 pro and have the new version replace the older version
while keeping my current Office configuration. Your Knowledge base indicates
I can choose "Upgrade in the Microsoft Office suite_name 2007 Setup program
dialog box"

Is this the same for using both Office 2007 FULL VERSION and UPGRADE VERSION?

What are the 2007 setup options when the install program sees an existing
2003 suite?

If I upgrade using 2007 full version, will the set up routine recognize my
existing Office 2003 and allow all my 2003 settings preferences and OUTLOOK
profile and data [*.pst] to be exported and utilized by office 2007?

Specifically, will my outlook profile and data [*.pst] automatically be used
and configured into the new 2007?

Will this happen with word and excel options and preferences [normal.dot and
file locations]?

Is this configured with the install > upgrade > replace prior version of
ooutlook > OTHER TABS??

I just don't want to start from scratch again reconfiguring my default mail
setup and all my outlook data/contacts/calendar/task/etc.
