I have a pivot table pulling from an MS Access db. In the
pivot I have the rows filtered to only view data on select
row items. When I refresh the data, any new row items
from the Access db are added to pivot (and shown even
though I had filtered to a particular set of rows).
What I would like to do is have the new rows added, but
remained unchecked and thus not added to the visible
portion of the data. I know I could introduce the
filtering at the SQL/db level to only pull the rows I
want, but maintenance of this would be very difficult for
the remote end user.
Is there anyway for the pivot table to maintain the row
filtering and add new rows but not show them?
