Retention policy

I have seen references to retention policies in Outlook 2003, but can find no
way of finding how these work. I am running XP Home SP2 on a stand-alone PC.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Retention policies -- like other policies -- are generally implemented in a corporate environment. They're not terribly relevant to a standalone user, but you can read about them and about the AutoArchive feature at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/ha011402861033.aspx

Thanks Sue. I agree it's more of a corporate issue, but I was looking for
some automated way to clean up up the Personal Folder by archiving after,
say, 6 months, but then to delete certain archive folders after, say, 2
years, but keep others indefinitely.
