Retrieve data from Oracle tables

I need to read some data from Oracle database and assign directly to
variables. These data are not related to any object of Project, but it is
necessary to make some calculation.

If I use a Map I will need to assign the data to tasks, resources or
assignments, which I do with other Project object related data.

Any suggestion?
