retrieve *.jpg

How can I enter a upc # and retrieve a *.jpg image based
on the upc I enter. I have thousands of images, so I
cannot use a query and insert a object. I need to be able
to search a directory that has a large number of folders
containing the upc images.
Any help or where to search for help would be appreciated.
