RETRIEVED EMAIL WENT MISSING (OUTLOOK '03)

I'm using Outlook 2003 and my particular question is regarding several
emails I just retrieved from my "deleted items" folder. I selected
about 20 emails and right clicked to move folders into the Inbox, then
I got this prompt message: "Creating a new item from selected items
could take sometime. Are you sure you want to create a new item from
these 20 items." And of course I said yes and it then opened a "new
composed message" with all 20 emails as attachments. Obviously this
isn't it what I wanted so I closed and clicked "no" to saving the
message. Consequently all the recovered emails were gone. I tried 3
different recovery email software and looked into online help. I had
no luck with any of the solutions. I did however found out that I
needed MS Exchange Server to possibly recover my emails, which I don't
have. So are there any other options? Or did my email simply
disappear? Thanks in advance for any help.
