Retrieving Entourage messages and addresses from MS2001 to MS2004

I recently installed Microsoft Office 2004, including Entourage into
my Mac G5 computer. I then deinstalled Office 2001. When I went to
use Entourage, I found that I had 'lost' all my email messages,
addresses, etc. Is there a way that I can retrieve them? I did not
empty the trash so I think they may be embedded somewhere, but I'm
having trouble finding the proper location.

Thanks.

Hi,

your Entourage 2001 data should be located in this folder:

[Startup Disk]/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2001 Identities/[your
identity]

My guess is that you have not really lost your data, you simply have not
imported it into Entourage 2004 yet. To do that (in Entourage 2004), click
on File>Import, then choose "Import information from a program". In the next
window, select Entourage 2001, choose what to import, then select your old
identity. Entourage 2004 should take care of the rest.

It worked like a charm! Thanks for your help.
