Privileges have been set on a public folder so that users can retrieve files
(.xls spreadsheets, pdf and Word files) from it at their convenience. Those
with desktop Outlook clients (OL 2000 and 2003) can do so with no problem.
However, those coming in through Outlook Web Access cannot - when they try
to open a file in the Public Folder, they get a message that says "you are
not authorized to view this page". They can't save the file to their desktop
or otherwise retrieve it.
I was told that a work-around is to not place the files directly into the
public folder, but to place them there, instead, as attachments to email.
Is this a documented limitation of OL Web Access, or something that can be
tweaked on the Exchange server?
TIA
