retrieving notes in Onenote after closing a section

I'm new to Onenote. I was on a page, hit close on the file menu, thinking
that was the way you were supposed to shut the application down. Now I've
lost all my pages in a certain folder. At least, nothing comes up when I try
to enter key words into the search engine.
Is there anyway to retrieve these notes?

File | Open | Section

Then navigate to the folder where the section originally was (by default,
it should be found somewhere under C:\Documents and Settings\{yourname}\My
Documents\My Notebook.

To exit the application, choose Exit from the File menu.
