Retrieving Range from excel

is there a way to open a spreadsheet from access and prompt for a worksheet
range?

Hi Dee,

How easy this is depends on just what you mean by "prompt for a
worksheet range". Will users know in advance what the range will be(e.g.
cells A4 to AB1234 on Sheet1) or will they need to look at the workbook
and select the range they want?

i would like the user to be able look at the woksheet and
decide the range they want.
