Retriving file names with hyperlinks in Excel sheet

I need to retrive the file names in the different folders in to the excel
with full path name and hyperlink to each file.
Manually entering each file name and then link it with the hyperlink is
very tedius ( I have more then 2500 files in different folders).
There might be some easy and faster way to do the same by entering some
formula or running a macro.
Can anyone help me?

Hi Ketan,
With that many links you want to use the HYPERLINK Worksheet Function

=HYPERLINK("http://www.abc.com","ABC")

B2: http://www.abc.com
C2: =HYPERLINK(B2,"ABC")
or if the full display of the is going to show in B2
C2: =HYPERLINK(B2,"[x]")


I don't know what kind of lins you have, there are

if you only need to do it once I'd suggest downloading
http://www.argentuma.com/myfiles.html using it to generate an html list of
your folder contents and then cut and paste that into excel.
