Returning a Database Property

I want to create a version number for our database front-
end. I then want to be able to return that value to
determine if a newer version exists. I have already set
the Version and Version Date properties by clicking File,
Database Properties and adding them in the Custom tab.

How can I have a field display one of these properties?
What do I set the Control Source to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's an article on an approach to versioning that I have used
successfully that you can download from
http://accdevel.tripod.com/versioning.htm. It just uses tables in the front
and back end, or client and server, and lets the user copy the new file from
the server. If you don't want your users to have to do the file copy, see
