Returning to show after URL Hyperlink

Using PowerPoint 2004 I set up a PowerPoint Show page for school kids with
Hyperlinks to a number of web sites. When I exit the website the show itself
has closed. This isn't very elegant, nor helpful for the kids. Is there any
way to avoid this, so that when they have finished doing some web based
interactive learning stuff they come back to the PowerPoint Show?

Try having them download the PowerPoint SHOW file to their local computer and
launching it from there. It should stay open in PPT while links open in the
browser and after the browser closes.

Thanks
I have found that on a Mac you need to properly quit the browser (Safari or
IE), rather clicking on any of the coloured buttons on the top left of the
window, in order to return to the PPS. On a PC using Internet Explorer,
however, you can click the back button and that will return you to the PPS.
Internet explorer on the Mac does not offer this navigational facility.

You can't depend on that behavior on the PC. It depends on which version of PPT
is installed and half a dozen other factors. The PPS may open in the browser or
it may open in PowerPoint.

Right. Another method on the Mac is using the Command-Tab application
switch feature to switch to PowerPoint, which will open the presentation
where it was left off.
