Returning Value of Next Non-Blank Cell in Column

cI have data in three columns. Values in Column A are calculated by an if
statement and are summed and return a value in Column B, with blank fields
appearing in the adjacent rows to the column A data. Is there a formula that
will allow for those blank cells to return the value of the next non-blank
cell (perhaps detailed in Column C?) Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A B C (peferred output)
3.2 Blank 8.6
5.4 Blank 8.6
8.6 8.6

=IF(B1="",C2,B1) and copy down
