reuse slides, everything changes

I am working with PPT2007. I have a presentation that was origionally put
together in 2003, I've made several changes with 2007. Now I need to break
the presentation up (too many links). When I try to create a new presentation
and reuse the slides some of the items on each slide won't maintain source
formatting (yes, it's selected). I have made sure the page layout is the
same as the origional presentation. I've also tried copy and paste.
Will I have to reformat each item that isn't transferring correctly?

Hi Aileen. Did you check all of the masters and layouts in 07? I've found
that layouts in 03 sometime pull from different master layouts in 07 that are
similar.............TD

I've seen this in action, and it's a PITA. Sometimes copy/paste instead of
Reuse Slides will work, but utually it doesn't. Only real way around it that
I'm aware is to use 2003 or prior version to create the new files.

Sorry, wish I had a better answer for you. I've reported this as a bug to MS
a few times, but unfortunately it's not made it into the service packs. If
you want to send me a couple of slides in a "target presentation" and a
couple more in the "paste these" presentation, I can hang onto them in case
they need to see more examples with the bug reports. email is echos at indy
dot net.
