Reusing Office XP when I upgrade to Office 2007

I have Office XP on my laptop (running Windows XP), but received the upgrades
to Vista and Office 2007 since I bought my laptop around the time of Vista's
release. I have held off upgrading until bugs were worked out and
compatibility issues were resolved. I still think I need to hold off on
Vista, but want to install Office 2007.

My question is, can I uninstall Office XP and reinstall it on another
machine that only has Office 2000? I am concerned that when I try to register
it on the new machine, the product key will be recognized as already used.

If by "Office 2007 Upgrade" you mean that you actually have the Upgrade
Version of Office 2007 as opposed to the Full version, then no. When you do
the Upgrade the licence you have for Office XP becomes subsumed within the
licence for Office 2007

And Further, if OfficeXp was supplied with your laptop then allmost
certainly its an OEM version which is only licensed to that first PC &
cannot be installed on another
