I have to Reverse Engineer SQL 2005 Views (not the tables). Foreign key
relationships are not defined in the warehouse for etl reasons. I am using
Visio for Enterprise Architects as I could not even access the SQL 2005 Views
using Visio 2003.
Reverse engineering Views into Visio creates Visio View objects.
Apparently, the Relationship object can not be used to connect Visio Views
(entities only) and the connection using the generic Connector object is lost
if the connector or one of the Views is repositioned on the page.
Is there a way to use the Visio Relationship object on Visio Views, keep the
generic connector attached to the Views, or change the Views to another
object (e.g. an entity / table object) so the Relationship object can be
used?
It looks like I need to use a different modeling tool, but just in case I am
missing something...
Thanks!
