I am attempting to reverse engineer a VB 6.0 application into a set of UML
Static Structure Class diagrams. Visio claims to automate this process by
compiling a list of Classes in the UML Navigator window. According to the
Visio documentation, when these classes are dragged onto the static structure
diagram, the relationships between them will be created automatically. My
problem is that this does not happen! Selecting "Show Relationships" from
the drop down menu associated with any given class or group of classes has no
effect. Unfortunately the documentation is very sparse on this topic. I
have a demo version of another UML Modeler that oofers reverse engineering,
and it produces diagrams without issue. I am left wondering whether I am
missing something or whether Visio is simply hopeless! I have tried Visio
2000, 2002 and 2003, to no avail.
Can anyone offer some suggestion as to whether I am missing the point, or
whether this is a known Visio Problem?
