Using Visio Enterprise Architect 10.0.2705.
I am a database programmer and new to Visio (last I used it was about 10
years ago) and would appreciate answers to a couple of questions.
Can anyone recommend a good book on using Visio to reverse engineer database
applications?
I would like to reverse engineer parts of an existing Access 2000 database
application using a linked Access 2000 data source. The queries, code,
forms, reports, etc are located in one file (front end) and linked to the
main data tables in three other files (back end). When I reverse engineer
the front end the linked tables are not included and I need to reverse
engineer each file separately. Is there any way to do it all at once?
Any queries that contain functions (either user defined or even Access's
built in 'nz' function, generate an 'undefined function' error and the
queries
are therefore not included. Is there a fix or workaround for this?
Action queries (Append, update, etc) are also not included. Any way to
include them?
TIA
