revert back to saved

My laptop shut down in the middle of viewing a saved word
document. Once restarted I attempted to open the file
and recieved a prompt asking...do you want to revert to
the saved file. I chose no. Now when I open the file it
is blank. However when not opened it says it contains
20kb of text. Did I lose everything or an it be
recovered?

20 KB is about the size of an empty document.
