reverting back to defaults screen by itself

Sometimes when I load outlook 2007 it reverts to the default view as it did
when I first installed it.

I went into options and advanced settings checked open in contact folder
clicked apply and closed dialog box. After a few times it reverts back to
default screen.

Please help
