In older versions of Word and Excel frequently used files and sub-directories
could be easily added and used through the favorites facility contained in
the file open dialogue box in both Word and Excel. The current system of
creating favorites through the web toolbar is cumbersome and has less
functionality. For example you can't save a sub-directory as a favorite you
can only save files. Also all files saved as favorites display with the
explorer icon regardless of whether they are explorer favorites, Word
favorites or Excel favorites. Grateful if you could recapture in the
functionality of the older favorites system.
