Ribbon

I've been using Word 2007 for about a month now and all of a sudden the
ribbon is closed and I need to click on it every time I use it. I would like
the ribbon to remain open all the time. I have a large monitor and have the
space to show it. Also, I had my quick access toolbar below the ribbon and
now when I ask for it to go below, it is no longer visible. I need to keep it
above the ribbon (which is closed)

1. Re the Ribbon being closed
It's apparently been accidentally minimized; to return it to its default
state, do one of the following:
Double-click the active tab (a toggle)
Press CTRL+F1 (a toggle)
Right-click on any tab name or or to the right of the rightmost tab and
click Minimize the Ribbon (a toggle)

It will remain fully displayed.

2. Re the QAT's location
To move the QAT back to its default position:
Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar at the far right end of the Quick
Access Toolbar to display the Customize Quick Access Toolbar menu
Click Show Above the Ribbon
