Hi,

I'd like to hide or disable Excel Options button at Office Menu but I can't
find its idMso as button and neither as command. I'd like too the same for
Recent Documents list. Are these possible?

TIA

You can't hide the Options button using RibbonX.
The recent document lists is also off limits via RibbonX, but you might
be able to use other means (e.g. setting the number of recent document
entries to zero via the registry).

Thanks, Patrick, for the quick reply.

They could forget all but not these two idMsos. It's a shame.

About setting the number of recent document it's not so smart, anyway
thanks.

Regards,

Sergio

I don't think they forgot it. I think this was on purpose.
If you disable the Options button, then users won't have any way to get
to the add-ins dialog and switch off an add-in. So potentially, an
add-in could rob users of the Options button (and hence any way to get
rid of it), which would be a major support headache for Microsoft. The
only way to get rid of an add-in then would be via the registry.

Hi Patrick,

I have doubts about this purpose because in early Excel versions it could
happen too and I don´t think this is a real problem.
