Richtext controls -- any way to change generated output?

Hi all -

When working with XML content generated vai the use of a RichText Control
(IP2007), is there any way to modify the structure of the XHTML that's
produced?

For instance, it always puts out a DIV for a paragraph -- can this be
suppressed?
It uses <strong>xxx</strong> for bolded text -- can it use something else?
