Richtextbox stuffs up completely when using office 2007

Does anyone know how to stop the richtextboxes hyperlink functionality from
stuffing up completely when developing an addin in vb.net or c#. My addin
uses the EM_SETCHARFORMAT formating style to set a link in the richtextbox.
An example would be the link would say 'Email the support team' and the
hyperlink would be 'mailto://...'.

The code works fine when running outside of Word and in all other versions
of Word except Word 2007. In Word 2007 the links appear over the wrong text
and the linktext property of each link in the richtextbox is blank.

Any ideas?
