Right-click and Word OPTIONS Do not work

I have a problem with MS WORD that I can’t fix.
It will not allow me to right click on anything.
It also will not allow me to select and OPTIONS in the WORD OPTIONS.
It automatically begins 'word proofing' the document even though it is a
blank document and will not stop.
When I close WORD is gives me an error that MS WORD has stopped working.


I have uninstalled twice and re-installed. Still the same. It seems as if it
keeps the previous files when I reinstall because Outlook keeps all the
accounts also. I don’t have to reconfigure anything.

This just began 3 weeks ago. It Worked fine for many months previous.

I tried the fix but it said it was not for my "operating system or version".
It will not continue.

In that case, scroll down the page and use the instructions under "Let
me fix it myself".
