Right click creates "Plain text" doc

Right clicking on desktop or in a folder and using "Create Microsoft Word
Document" from sub menu creates a Word "Plain Text" Word doc instead of a
"Normal" Word doc. Createsnew docs OK within word and file associations
appear to be OK.

Hi Paul,

First see if recreating the file association rectifies the problem. Go
to Start/Run and run:

Winword /r

Note the space before the forward slash.

Failing that, try using Detect and Repair under the Help menu.
