On the next Microsoft Windows Explorer (Version 5.1) update can you please
add a right-click menu item for creating a new folder.
This could be similar to the right-click menu feature in Microsoft Office
Outlook where right-clicking a folder in the 'All Mail Folders' window
presented a menu to allow creation of a New Folder.
Your Windows Explorer program is one of the best general data organization
tools available; and maximizing the convenience of creating data structures
can only enhance usability and increase utilization of this powerful tool.
The Windows Explorer can be compared to another wonderful information-
structuring tool namely: The 'Synopsis of Categories,' as part of "Roget's
Thesaurus," by Peter Roget, organizes words by a well-structured system of
categories of conceptual information in the English language.
Microsoft Windows Explorer gives individuals the opportunity to create their
own categorical information structure; and any assistance toward that end
will be a great step forward in keeping the data expansion phenomena under
control.
Your consideration of this addition will be highly appreciated.
Thank you,
R. L. Lyons
