Right clicking in any MS Office cause sudden close.

I am having a problem where if I right click within any office program
(excel, word...etc). That application will suddenly close. I have tried
uninstalling everything and all its sub folders and nothing works.

Thanks to mecklists on the apple forums I was able to narrow down my
problem. If I create a new account and launch any office app and right
click, the problem does not exist.

Like I said above, I completely eradicated office and re-installed it
on my computer and the problem is still there.

Seems that your user profiles causes the problem. First I would start with
repair Verify and Repair disk permitions from disk utility.

Hi Stephan:

You haven't mentioned the magic words "Remove Office" :) So I will ask you
to look in the Additional Tools folder of your Microsoft Office application
folder (or your Office CD). Is that how you removed Office? If not, you
won't have removed the files that are causing the problem.

What we would need to do next is a Drag-Install of Office to put it all back
in, then run Remove Office. Remove Office won't run properly if Office is
not there at all. When it does run, it will remove thee damaged preference
files.

Then you can do another Office installation, and it should work this time.

Cheers

Looks like it is something much deeper then that. I tried doing
everything you said and nothing worked. I guess I will just redo my
install(OS X)...because other programs do the same thing and not just
Entourage.

Thank you for your help

Hello Stephan -

Before doing a reinstall of OS X you might first try just re-applying the
10.4.8 Combo Update from the Apple web site, then repair permissions.

If that doesn't do the job, start up from the OS X (or other) boot disk &
run Disk Utility - Repair Disk. You may need to run it a few times until no
errors are reported.
