RIP OUT MS Code GUTS?

G

gtv_john

Does anyone know of a way, allegorical or otherwise, to rip OUTLOOK code guts
right out of my PC in one fell-swoop, and hold them up to the cam to see the
still beating code right in front of it's eyes just before the display
flickers and dies?

God that felt good to write...now if I could only do it for real?

Seriously, writing a Outlook 1/2 page note took 3 1/2 hours of frustration
and near suicide on my part; it kept doing all these completely bizzaroo
other dimension things: I copy text, paste into note, it is in correct font,
size and color (Verdana, 12pt, bold, teal -not offered as reg choice anymore
by 2007 vers), I then copy another section from the same source, and paste in
and blammo! -it is in diff font, sz. 14 and diff color and in some text
format that is 1/2 page width of other text ---and now there is some Text
tools sign up top and other options that don't apply.
It wouldn't allow me to highlight, rt clk and sel 'font' to change it all
back -after 3 hrs and 2 near-misses with my .454. Casaull, I did what usually
happens when Micro-Soft-in-the-Head product goes off on it's own, I finally
hit Crtl-alt-del and task mgr to close out the program "MSOutlook" or
"Outhouse" as I refer to it.

Vrs 2007 Outhouse ist simply insane in the membrane.

Are you selecting the para symbol (if pasting from word)? Are you pasting
into the signature field?

Thanks for the thoughts Diane,

But I never use cumbersome Word.

so NO & NO: I copy text from .de web page, highlight, rt click copy, pasted
in sel text & and it took on my font und format in the note correctly.
I went back to sel another section of text, highlt, rt click copy, and back
to outlook note and with many lines above signature, Viele Linien über
Unterzeichnung, klebte ich innen und es war aller falsche, neue
Zeitschriftkegel, war schwarz und sz. 14> sorry: Many lines above signature,
I pasted in and it was all wrong, new times font, was black, and sz. 14.

Lord only knows where the goonie 'ribbon' tool bar 'text tools' came from -I
didn't touch a thing.

I don't think I've ever seen a text tools ribbon - there is a table tools
ribbon that only shows when you are working with a table. If you don't want
to keep the formatting, the paste smart tag will expand and let you change
the format of the paste - keep text only, keep destination, keep source
formatting. Or you can select the text you want 'cleaned' and click the
button with the 'Aar eraser' icon on the Message ribbon, basic text chunk.
