RIS Office 2003 MAPI32 errors

Hello all,

I have been trying for months to get this to work and finally I will give up
and ask
those wiser than I about it. I am trying to use a RIS server to push the OS
( Windows xp pro sp 2) and applications onto new workstations. It was a
server 2000 ris box until recently and now is a 2003 server set up. After a
lot of trial and error I have all the OEM NICS build in and can riprep a new
image up to the server for distribution. I move the profile of the user I set
up the laptop under to "default User" and run riprep. Every time it complains
about multiple profiles but finishes copying up to the server.

What does this have to do with office? you ask. Office 2003 is the only
application that fails to work on machines that install from the RIS server.
It works only under the user account I made the riprep image from. For all
other users you see a
"MAPI32.DLL is corrupt orthe wrong version" error.
fixmapi.exe does not seem to .. well fix mapi

a reinstall fixes it but defeats the purpose of preinstalling office 2003
into the RIS image

any thoughts out there?

I mean about my problem not thoughts in general.

Sorry one other detail that may or maynot help

The install method I am using is adding it under add/remove programs
from a published GPO application; with a transform making user selections
( and entering the ID key so my employees do not need to use/see my VAL key)
