Risk and Issue Notification

We are a PMO with many projects using EPM
Is there a way that we can get automatically notified whenever a ris
or issue is raised by someone

Please help

Have you explored the Alert functionality in WSS? I think that might give
you what you want.

We have tried WSS alerts (for documents, risks and issues) but it didn't work
with the new version of exchange server (2003) it worked with the earlier
version, since the server requires an authenticated user to send e-mails on
his behalf. We have contacted Microsoft about this matter, once their
response arrives, I shall share it with you.

We overcame this issue, alerts are being generated, you need to ask your
Exchange Administrator to create a virtual server for your notifications, the
name of this server should be written under "WSS Central Administration -
Server Configuration - - Configure defualt e-mail server settings -
Outbound SMTP Server"
