Risks and Issues roll up, PS2007

Could someone please help me.

I want to be able to get all the risks and issues from all projects and
programs to display in a single Risk log and a single Issues log.

Q1. Do I understand correctly that if I can make a hirearachy of Workspaces
that matches the hierarchy of portfolio, programs and projects, then all the
risks and issues will roll up in a single risk log and single issue log?

Q2 If so, how can I create this?

So far I have made a new project for the Portfolio level and one for a
program. The program is a sub-workspace of the Portfolio. This was easy
because they were both new. However, I have not been able to make the
existing project workspaces children of the new program workspace. How can I
make the existing workspaces sub-workspaces of the new Program workspace?

Hello EVPM

Q1. No. As previously stated, you will need to use a 3rd party WSS web
component to consolidate various list items, eg risks and issues.

Q2. I suspect the functionality you are eluding to here, and the set up
required, is accomplished with Master Projects. One way to do this is create
and save (but not publish or close) two projects. Then create another
project, and insert the two previously saved projects. Publish the 3rd
project. Publish the 1st two projects, and select the option to create the
WSS workspace as a subsite of an existing project. Select the 3rd project.
This then creates the WSS hierarchy correctly, and also creates a master
project and subproject(s). EPM2007 recognises correctly the maste project,
and OLAP also deals correctly with the functionality, as does Project Center.

Hi there,

I don't know if this will help, but perhaps you can do what you want
with the Issues and Risks cubes that are created by PS2007? I have
not yet looked if that is possbile, but if you go to your Manage Views
page, and create a new Data View, you can select the Issues and Risks
cubes as sources...
