Risks/Issues

I get an unexpected error when trying to enter a Risk or Issue via the
Project Workspace. Any ideas on what the issue could be or where I can get
more information beyond the generic unexpected error message? We are on
PS2007, SP1, IU Update, Dec Cummulative updates.

thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

not knowing the details of your issue, I do know that users which are not
Proejct server users, but only SharePoint users will get an error message
when accessing the Risk and issue list. I would check that the users are
Project Server users. If not, add them as project server users, assign them
to a project and let them try again.
hope this resolves your issue

Thank you for your reply Marc. I have gotten this to work, although I'm not
sure it's correct yet. First thing I discovered was that if I didn't
indicate an owner or assignee then I has able to add the issue and/or risk.
I am now able to add owners/assignees but to do so I have to click the
address book, type in the name and search for it. I assumed it would allow
me to just type in a name and then resolve that against Project Server users,
but that doesn't work and instead gives me the unexpected error.

Hi Michelle,

good to hear that you got the risks and issues working. In regards to the
owners / assignees you are right, you should just be able to type in the name
and it should resolve the name against your users. Not sure why it doesnt do
it, do you have any event log error on your server?
Thanks
Marc
