Rnd function for auditing

I'm trying to make access select 32 records randomly from another query
Online guidance says to use the RND function and sort according t
that, then set the query to show only the tow 32 records. Simpl
enough but I can't get the RNDD function to work. I've tried severa
approaches, the latest is simply a new column in the query: RND([RN])*

RN is a random number field in the original select query this query i
based on.

Regardless, my results are the same - a new, blank record...

UPDATE: Nevermind - found it here:
