Hello,
I have a client who has two Add Ins running in Outlook XP. One is written
in .NET 1.1 and the other in VB6, but are very simple addins that place a
button on the toolbar and perform some very light processing on a message
when clicked.
The add-ins are working fine on normal client machines (i.e. Windows XP).
The client also has a Citrix farm environment where ROAMING PROFILES are
used. When the client installs the add ins to their Citrix environment the
..NET 1.1 add in works fine. The VB6 Addin works the first time the user
launches Outlook, but no longer appears on the toolbar after the user closes
and reopens Outlook for the first time. When roaming profiles are not used,
both add ins work fine.
According to a previous post, when installing to a Citrix environment, you
should install the registry keys to HKCU, rather than HKLM. I am doing this
for both addins.
Any ideas on what roaming profiles might be doing to cause the add in to not
work? Any suggestions, ideas, comments, etc are greatly appreciated!
