Whenever a user logs onto a new computer for the first
time, their profile gets corrupted and Office 2000 will
start doing strange things. Such as: Not letting the
user open attached office files sent to them (they can
save to C-drive, but still can't open them -- the files
get corrupted w/ the computer saying it can't find the
path to them). Or, if the user sends Word and Excel files
that are perfectly fine on their (new) computer, the
recipient can't open them.
Any idea what causes this? To fix it, I usually have to
recreate their profile, and often have to RE-Install
Office! Both softwares (Office and Windows) are fully
patched, but Japanese versions.
