Roll-up task bar - text

Currently when I roll-up several tasks to the summary bar the various
milestones test write on top of each other due to the timescale. Is there a
capability to use free form on the text. I would like to adjust it manually.
Is that possible?

Yes,
It will take a couple of extra steps.
Here is an example.
Assume you want the bar to display the task name.
Insert an unused text column (Text1)
Insert another (Text2)
Right click on the header of Text2.
Select customize fields.
Click on the formula field and enter the following formula:
[text1] & [Name]
Click OK,
For summary bars click on "use formula"
Now by using spaces or other characters in Text1 the Name shown in Text2
will move to the right. You can do the same thing using another field (text3
for example) and reversing the formula so that the spaces in text1 follow
the name.
Now instead of displaying the Name text for the rolled up barstyle use Text2
and manually enter spaces in Text1 until it looks the way you want.
