Rookie Question

Just getting started with Infopath....

OK, so I'm reading where I design these forms....people fill out these
forms....OK, so far so good....

But, what I'm wondering is what happens to all the information entered
into the forms? Is it not stored somewhere, as if the Infopath form
were a form in a dBase?

Or, are users just to enter the information and print out the form
giving them a hard copy of the information and that's the end of it?

I know the answer to this will make me feel foolish, but go ahead and
have at it.

Hi,

I am far from being an expert in this app but you can have the data submit
to a database (SQL\Access), to sharepoint,Web services or just saved as a
file. The data in the file is in XML so you can do a lot with that such as
export to Excel etc.

It is a very flexable app. I am sure you will get some more in depth answers
but that is the basics.
